what do you use? •

  contraception 01

how old were you when you first started using contraception; what method did you start with, and where did you learn about it?

at 15, i experienced sexual intercourse; using means that of condoms.. later on my partner and i used methods of withdrawl/ pulling out... learnt in health classes, but majoritly in the "field," experience.

did your mother talk to you about preventing unwanted pregnancy? did she bring it up, or did you? did you discuss it with your friends?

i never spoke to my mother about sex or pregnancies really. however some with friends and partners

what about school - what did they tell you regarding birth control?

explained several examples of birth control as well as STD preventitives; though, always finishing with, "abstinance is the only 100% blah blah blah."

have you tried more than one method? what do you like about the one you're using now, and what don't you like about it?

abstinance, condoms and pulling out:
good thing about abstinance is that there is no worry ever, bad... lack of partner induced sexual pleasure. condoms decrease the sensitivity, but are 90 - some % effective to prevent STDs and pregnancy; also they alow the male to orgasim inside and proceed to trust some, if they like. withdrawl : no lost sensitivity, the feeling of being very closer, but male doesn't stay in.

have you had any problems, side effects, etc. with contraception?

some itchiness maybe, for a few minutes or until cleaned up; nothing serious.

what would you tell your daughter (real or hypothetical) about birth control? When would you start talking to her about it (or others you've tried)?

i will have no daughter... eek

do you always use contraception when you have sex (that is, when not-hoping to conceive)? How important is contraception to you?

no, but i probably should.... it is important, but if i am with someone i trust, and i know my cycle, then i let him keep himself in control >:p

is the contraception method you use covered by your insurance?

no

this conversation makes me think....

well... probably about contraception... maybe about getting some more caffine
