Credentials:
BA in SFA and BS from the School of Hard Knocks.Rose Cooper has been
a freelance writer for over ten years, writing for many varied Australian
magazine and newspaper publications on subjects as diverse as sport and
sex (ok, so they aren’t so diverse). Rose writes mostly from her
home office, while raising three children. Highlights of Rose’s
career include being one of the most prolific feature writers for specialist
sexuality magazine Australian Women’s Forum during it’s publication
run from 1992-2001 and was their commissioned advice columnist from 1998-2001.
In 1996 Rose was a finalist in the Australian Sportswriter of the Year
Awards.
Rose currently writes a weekly column with The Daily Telegraph - Central
Coast Extra.
Rose has also dabbled in sketch comedy writing for TV and Radio. While
possessing an irreverent sense of humor, there are some subjects she takes
very seriously – especially issues such as feminism, feminine self-image,
sexuality, sex education, parenting, philosophy and spirituality – to
name a few. This is an open forum of some of Rose’s previously published
articles as well as current raves on hot topics - expect the unexpected.
Rose welcomes feedback on any of the subjects covered and suggestions for
topics you would like to see examined Down Under.
*NB: All articles are written in Rose’s native tongue: “Strine”.
For translations, see attached glaussary.
