i'm actually really happy with my whole area "down there." i don't like when my hair gets all bushy and matted, so i keep a "landing strip" and i'm quite trim. i don't do that only for lovers, i do it for myself, too. my whole vulva looks quite "tucked in," if you will. it reminds me of a georgia o'keeffe painting in that it's all closed up and then just opens up, bit by bit. my labia and clitoris are soft, too. i don't know if that's normal but i like it. the only thing i don't like is that i'm a bit torn up in the area between the vaginal opening and the anus (i suppose that's the area called "perineal raphe") because one of my boyfriends used to hit me there with his cock "accidently" quite often.

i've never seen another woman's vulva in-person, even though i would very much like to and the idea of it turns me on. i've seen several pictures, mostly pornography or erotic photography, but it's never really crossed my mind to compare. i always knew that each woman would look different and those differences are the only normal thing. i think that all of them --as long as they're clean!! haha-- are absolutely beautiful.

i am twenty. i remember getting a yeast infection when i was nine and having to put a mirror up to my vulva to apply the healing cream. it looked completely different from the way i had expected it to, more complicated. i look at my vulva nearly every day now, sometimes during normal hygiene, sometimes sexually.

one lover has told me what he thought of my vulva, and he offered the information. he said that it is perfect and beautiful, all kept up inside and hidden like that, and that it makes him want it more. he mentioned that he's been with other women whose labia hang out quite loose & low and that i was a nice change from that. he also said that he liked the way he could just slide down my clitoris and smoothly into my vagina, and that i was very tight and wet. i think it felt nice to hear that, but it really wasn't much different from someone saying "i like that you're tall," because how much control do i have over it in the first place?
