For the record, the vagina is actually the canal inside. What I think of as the face of the vagina—the lips, the clitoris, the clitoris' hood, etc. all the parts you can see—that is called the vulva. So, this questionnaire is about how you feel about how your vulva looks. Personally, I'd have to say no... but I think I'm comparing it to the image I have in my mind of what it is supposed to look like (this is an image gained mostly from men's magazines where all look the same and have big outer lips which cover everything inside!). My inner lips are different sizes, and shock horror, a completely different colour to all women in the mags. I've always felt insecure that my skin down there is more of a very dark pink/purple.

I've only ever seen my mum and some close girlfriends without underwear, but this is only front on, not all the detail..... The only close ups I've seen are in men's magazines. So, I searched the internet and do feel slightly better now that I've seen some diversity and realise we're all different lol

I'm nearly 31. The first time I really looked was around the time I started masturbating - probably about 14. I was shocked by how dark my skin was and how complicated it looked.. I don't know what I expected, but I thought it would basically be a hole (how naive!) Now I only look when I remove the hair with depilatory cream. Today, I'm off for my first brazilian wax, hence my interest in looking on the internet to see how others look.

I once had an ex boyfriend tell friends we had in common how I was too hairy (no wonder he is my ex). I've had a few lovers, and most don't seem concerned with how it looks, of course they're mostly concerned with how it functions lol. One boyfriend always called my genital area 'cute'... I guess this is a good thing. My current partner says I'm beautiful everywhere, to him he is far more interested in me as a person than what my body parts look like (this is why we're still together).
