do you like the way your vagina looks?
For the record, the vagina is actually the canal inside. What I think of as the face of the vagina—the lips, the clitoris, the clitoris' hood, etc. all the parts you can see—that is called the vulva. So, this questionnaire is about how you feel about how your vulva looks. [see vulva diagram] though I can't help but ask the question as: do you like the way your vagina looks? because that's what I've always called it...although, that's changing...—Alexandra

do you like the way your vagina looks? go into some detail about what you do or don't like about it.

When I was younger I thought it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. But in the last year, after 3 kids and 6 years of marriage I've discovered a very sexual part of me that has been hidden. In that finding I also discovered how much I love my body and all that is has and can do and how much my husband gets pleasure from seeing and experiancing my vagina. So that made me re-think what I thought about it. Now I think it is amazing and beautiful and SO errotic. I've even begun masterbating for the first time in my life because I am more comfortable with my vagina and my self in general. A woman's body, especially her vagina is a awesome thing no matter what they look like.

have you seen many other women's vaginas? in photographs or live? where did you see them? did you compare yours to theirs? what did you think?

Yes, I have seen vaginas in medical books and on the internet. Never a real woman's vagina though.(in real life that is) And yes, I have compared them to mine and I found that they are all different. Some are nasty looking with dark gray skin that look rotten (honestly!) and some are light pink and soft looking. Some I find very beautiful and other's trashy. I love that the actual vaginal hole is so diverse. Some are tiny and hidden and some are large and well used, lol. I love my vaginal opening, it's small and soft pink and my husband loves to taste it. :)

how old are you? was this the first time you took a good look at your vagina? – if it is the first time, did you expect it to look the way it does? how often do you typically look at it? when was the first time you looked at it?

I am 24 now and the first time I looked at my vagina was when I was 15. And I was shocked at what I saw, lol. Like I said earlier I used to think it was ugly so that was my first impression. I didn't look at it again until I was in my 20's and my views were beginning to change about my body and sex. (I was raised in a very strict religious household if you are wondering why so many things about my body came later than other peoples. I was a virgin on my wedding night so I had alot of learning to do!) And now I don't look at it too often, but I feel it and enjoy it often while I masterbate or my husband makes love to me in all his special ways.

have your lovers told you what they think about how your vagina looks? what did they tell you? did you ask them, or did they offer?

My husband has always thought it was beautiful. he loves the look, taste and smell. But one interesting thing, he said when I was heavier (with pregnancies and such I gained alot of weight, which is now off) he said my vagina would change too. My labia and such would get plumper... never thought my vagina needed a diet! LOL. But now I am thin again and so is my vagina, lol.

  this conversation makes me think...

of what a wonderful thing the vagina is and how much pleasure it has brought me through sex, and of course it's ultimate task of giving birth. It truly is one of the most amazing parts of our bodies. Treasure it always.
