For the record, the vagina is actually the canal inside. What I think of as the face of the vagina—the lips, the clitoris, the clitoris' hood, etc. all the parts you can see—that is called the vulva. So, this questionnaire is about how you feel about how your vulva looks. I do like the way my vagina looks, it's a happy average, average
size, shape and colour. I have nice sized lips, they stick out
a little and are a grey/pink colour, when they changed during
puberty I thought they were starting to look a little odd, but
now I realise they are totally normal.
One thing I dislike is when it is shaved down there, I have a
beauty spot, which you can t see when I have pubic hair, but
without my hair you can see it. That in itself is not what I
dislike, what I do dislike however is that when I lie down on
my side the beauty spot looks like an eye and my outer labia
looks like a mouth, with my inner labia looking like a tongue
sticking out. As odd as it sounds without my public hair my vulva
looks like a fish, it s entertaining sometimes, but other times
it s just a little off putting.

many other women's vaginas? in photographs or live? where did you see
them? did you compare yours to theirs? what did you think?

I have seen
a lot of other women s vaginas in pornography, but I rarely looked at
them because the porn I used to look at was not women positive, when
I watch women positive porn I still don t look that much at the vaginas,
I m too busy doing something else to pay that much attention. I also
saw my mothers when I would use the bathroom while she was in the bath,
hers is very hairy, but I couldn t exactly stand there and examine, not
that I would want to even if I could!
A community I am on about vaginal health did a project called Everyday
Vulva s it was done because so many girls and women were coming in asking
whether their vaginas were normal or not. Loads of women sent in photographs
of their vulvas to show that they came in all shapes, colours and sizes,
I thought this was a great idea and I did look long and hard at these
ones, it was a really positive way of showing others that their vagina/vulva
is normal and great to see so many women open and honest about it.

I am 21 years
old, I first looked at my vagina I suppose when I first started to masturbate
at around 7 years old, I was playing with it so I guess I wanted to see
how it looked and what was where. I didn t expect it to look how it did,
it was less symmetrical than I had thought it would have been and the
vagina itself seemed very deep.

whether they have ever told me, perhaps my current partner told me when
I asked him, he told me it was fine, beautiful like the rest of me.

makes me think about my first experiences of my vagina, my first times
masturbating, not quite knowing enough about my vagina or masturbation
as I should have liked to, hell even thinking I was dirty, the only one
in the world to touch it and not knowing how my vulva measured up.
