how old were you when you first got your period, what was it like, and what did you know about what to expect?

i got my period the day after i turned 13. i knew what to expect because my mom already talked to be about it and in school we had sex ed

how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it?

i was excited to get my period because all my friends had already gotten theirs. i was feeling left out! i told my friends about it. but i told my mom first because i only found out when i got home from school.

what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it?

napkins. its all over the television.

are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why?

i still use pads. and tampons if i feel like it. personally i prefer pads now because sometimes tampons dont always get the blood

do you experience cramps, bloating, soar breasts, get pimples...? - if you do, tell us about it, and also, what remedies do you use?

hardly any cramps at all. i do get a sore lower back and bloating. and before my period comes i get oily skin and a random pimple on my face.

not always. but sometimes i get bitchier than usual

how do the men in your life relate to your period, or periods in general?

he says he's sad because what we can do is limited hahahaha. he calls it a "time out". and he thinks "oh no, i hope she doesnt get moody"
