how old were you when you first got your period, what was it like, and what did you know about what to expect?

I was around 12, and I was at home, I pretty much knew what it was and what to expect but no one expected me to get mine that early seeing I was quite slim and small. I was at home and I just found that my pants [white] was redish, it never came to me till the end of the day I was like omg I've got my period.

how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it?

I was not too happy at all, I mean yea I know it means your growing up and so forth but I didn't like the fact of knowing I have blood running out of my below, it made me uncomfortable around everybody I told no one about it. luckily we had pads at home so just went for one and used it.

what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it?

Uhm we have a Guidance class at school where my teacher talks about them and showed us a video on them plus the pad packet usually showsy ou how to or tells you how to. And i started off with Always..the thin kind.

are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why?

Same method..its all about the pad but im off Always now and on to another brand..Always is not so reliable anymore.

do you experience cramps, bloating, soar breasts, get pimples...? - if you do, tell us about it, and also, what remedies do you use?

I don't cramp thank God, i bloat a little, I get pimples before so if i lose track of my days a new show of pimples let's me know i'm close. And well my pimples don't go away until my period it's gone.

do you feel emotional changes relating to where you are in your menstrual cycle?

No cause nobody knows when I have my period unless I tell them. I'm usually my same old over jollyself lol.

how do the men in your life relate to your period, or periods in general?

Well my father was not much ni my life sooo...my brother was kool about it.My boyfriend alway wanted to know because he wnated to comfort me..he says he likes to help when i get cramps so i don't go through it alone. My ex-boyfriend was afraid of it and kind of ran away from me whenever it told him i had it.

That i haven't gotten my period in a while...hmmmm and i'm sure 28 dys have past..
