To me,
losing your virginity means the first time you have a penis inside your
vagina.

your expectations of what the experience would be like prior to losing
your virginity?

I always
assumed I would still be a virgin upon graduation from high school -
I didn't expect to "go all the way" until college. I guess
I expected it to hurt some, but really didn't have much of a clue as
to what it would be like.

you, and was this the age when expected or intended to lose your virginity?

I was
15 and a sophomore in high school when I lost my virginity. This was
much younger than I had expected, but I have no regrets as it was with
someone I loved deeply. As a matter of fact, I'm 20 now and still with
the same amazing man.

what did
it feel like? was there blood? did your partner know it was your first
time and did you talk about it before?

Yes,
my boyfriend knew I was a virgin, although he was not(he had one prior
sexual relationship with a long-term girlfriend.) We had talked extensively
about having sex, and had been doing everything but for the first six
months of our relationship. On our six month anniversary we went to a
big empty soccer field, originally intending to only make out and do
some touching, as usual. Some time into our make-out session my bf asked
me if he could make love to me ... and I said yes. It just felt like
the right time. He had condoms on hand and we made love under the stars.
As for the pain factor, yes, it hurt at first, but quickly turned pleasurable.
I didn't bleed (at least not until the 8th time we had sex, weird, I
know) and I also didn't have an orgasm. This is not to say that I didn't
enjoy the experience, it just took a lot of practice later to learn how
to make myself come during sex. All in all, a wonderful and safe experience.

your mother, family, friends tell you about losing your virginity...

Virtually
nothing. My mother has never been open with things of a sexual nature.
I wish she had though, I would have loved to have talked to her about
the things that were going on with me at that time. Oh well ...

what would/did you tell
your daughter about losing her virginity...
|
|
I would tell her to
make sure that her first time is a special experience by carefully choosing
the right guy to take her virginity. I want her to be able to look back
at her first sexual experience with fondness, not regret. I would inform
her about the importance of safe sex and would encourage her to be open
with me as I could help her out with advice and in getting things like
birth control pills, condoms, etc. I would rather know my daughter was
sexually active so I could help keep her safe!
