	what does "losing your virginity" mean to you? - define the term, and then tell us about what the experience signified for you...		It means to have sexual intercourse with the person you love or care deeply about.
	what were your expectations of what the experience would be like prior to losing your virginity?		When I was around 13 I was terrified of sex. Then I began to masterbate. By 16 I was very ready to have sex but only with the "right person." He came and went and at 19 I was "saving myself." My best friend and I made a pact that if we were virgins at the age of 25 (laughing our asses off because who the hell stayed a virgin that long?!) we would go to a bar and pick some lucky guy.......she ended up coming out of the closet a year later so there was no one to hold me to that earlier oath...
	how old were you, and was this the age when expected or intended to lose your virginity?		I am 33 and I respect myself too much to have sex just for the sake of having sex. I need to be in love. Likeing someone a lot is not enough for me. I dont want to be able to imagine life without the man I chose.
	what did it feel like? was there blood? did your partner know it was your first time and did you talk about it before?		The man I am seeing knows that I am a virgin. He teases me (we started out as just friends) and we both laugh about it, and he reminds me that it most likely wont be as orgasmic as I hope. I know he likes the fact that I am a virgin but he does have a hard time understanding why have chosen to wait.
	what did your mother, family, friends tell you about losing your virginity...		My mother was old fashioned but I think even she is a little shocked that I am a virgin lol. She was open and only wanted me to wait until I felt it was right, I know I can still tell her anything though.
	what would/did you tell your daughter about losing her virginity...		As long as it is what she wants and for the right reasons I would support her no matter what age she was.
