	what does "losing your virginity" mean to you? - define the term, and then tell us about what the experience signified for you...		Losing your virginity means to me, the first time that a female has a male's penis enter her vagina.
	what were your expectations of what the experience would be like prior to losing your virginity?		I thought that it would hurt a great deal. I thought I'd be older than I am. I thought I might be married. I had heard that you shouldn't make great expectations because they'd be shattered, so I didn't and I wasn't disappointed.
	how old were you, and was this the age when expected or intended to lose your virginity?		I am 16. I know it sounds young, but I thought about it rationally and I researched it thouroughly. I felt that this was the first on-my-own, adult decision that I had to make.
	what did it feel like? was there blood? did your partner know it was your first time and did you talk about it before?		It stung when he first tried to get beyond the opening two inches, then he would start back out, and gently but firmly try again. After a couple tries, we felt it break and it was all better. There was no blood. It was his and my first times.
	what did your mother, family, friends tell you about losing your virginity...		They didn't tell me anything except that there would be blood and how you have sex. I mean, I even figured out on my own that you had to move when you had sex, not just sit it in there.
	what would/did you tell your daughter about losing her virginity...		I would inform her how important protection is to use, that it is ultimately her decision when to do it, and that I stand behind her 100%. I would also tell her that it might hurt and there may be blood.
	this conversation makes me think...		How glad I am I found another virgin to share my experience with. How much I love my partner. I"m glad I had sex with him.
